João Gabriel, also known as Huenito, is a Brazilian comic book artist and illustrator. He made his debut with a short online story called “Definhar” on the Tapas platform. His first album, the supernatural thriller “Nobre/Lobo”, was published by SESI-SP Editora and won the “Cátedra UNESCO de Leitura” award in 2019.
João Gabriel has also worked in advertising for clients such as P&G, AACD and the Brazilian Ministry of Health, developing storyboards, character designs and concepts for various commercials.
His next project, “Vlad”, is a medieval dark fantasy inspired by “Preacher” and “Berserk”. This project caught the attention of the publisher Behemoth (which became Sumerian Comics), who then offered him to create the graphic novel “TEETH OF GOD” for the group Sleep Token.
