Fabrizio Faina
Fabrizio Faina (Spinetoli, 1956). He lives and works between Rome and his studio in the Marche countryside. He began his professional career as an architect, working for numerous professional studios in Italy and later in the Arab Gulf States. He is an interior designer at the Emir's Palace in Doha (Qatar). After his Arab interlude, he returned to Rome and became director of the architectural design department of Sarteur, the largest Italian luxury furniture manufacturer. He gradually left his architectural practice to devote himself to his other passion: comic book drawing. He directs the École de la bande dessinée (including the Rimini and Bologna offices). He regularly collaborates with Mauro Salvatori on the creation of comics for the Franco-Belgian market. This began with the Albin Michel and Casterman publishing houses. Later, he published with Soleil the three-volume comic reduction based on a screenplay by Christophe Bec of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's novel The Lost World. Also in 2018, he published the volume Aéropostale for Soleil with Bec and Salvatori. He is currently working for Soleil on Patton.
