Barbara, born in Modena in 1997, attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, specializing in Comic Art. She made her professional debut in 2025 with the publication of her first graphic novel, Hourglass (Silver Sprocket), in the United States. In Italy, she debuted in 2026 with Lapis Blue (Renape Presenta), a work that earned her recognition for Best Self-Published Comic 2024 at both BICA and the Betty B Festival. She has since worked as an author and illustrator for various international publishers, including Tunué, First Second Books, Éditions Steinkis, and Éditions du Soleil. Remaining active in the self-publishing scene, she creates new stories annually with the GIBIN Press artistic collective and for the ShortBox Comics Fair. Her narratives frequently explore small gestures of humanity within the context of classist societies and the challenges faced by her characters.
