Livia Pastore
Livia Pastore is an Italian comic book artist who is born in Naples in 1988. Graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts and Italian School of Comics (in Naples) in 2010, she begins her professional career as early as 2009, collaborating with the Italian publisher GG Studio on three titles: the erotic comedy Route des Maisons Rouges, the fantasy Mediterranea, and the sci-fi series Extinction Seed. She subsequently works for Big Dog Ink on the third Knightingail series, titled Dawn of Destiny. During the same period, she creates the feminist-themed graphic novel Blades of Hope for Jabal Entertainment. In 2016, she expands into the North American market with the Canadian publisher Red 5 Comics, working on the noir thriller Keyser Soze: Scorched Earth, a prequel series to the cult film The Usual Suspects. In 2019, she begins her collaboration with the renowned French publishing house Les Humanoïdes Associés on the fantasy series Sirènes & Vikings, illustrating the third volume, La Sorcière des mers du Sud (written by Gihef and published in 2021 across France, Belgium, the US, and the Netherlands). She continues her partnership with the publisher by drawing the sci-fi graphic novel Gurvan, an adaptation of P.J. Hérault's novels scripted by Mathieu Mariolle, released in 2023 and later translated for the American market. Today, she works with the French publisher Soleil, for whom she illustrates the tenth volume of Mages (written by David Courtois, with storyboards by Paolo Deplano and colors by Vincent Powell). Having also contributed to the fourth and sixth volumes of the Guerres d’Arran series, she is currently hard at work on the highly successful saga Elfes.
