Ilaria Palleschi
Ilaria Palleschi, born in 1989, is an author, cartoonist, and illustrator. She made her debut in 2018 with the graphic novel Nina Che disagio (Bao Publishing). As a freelance illustrator, she has collaborated with prominent publishing houses such as Il Castoro, Giunti, Treccani, and Mondadori. For the latter, she illustrated the comics and visuals for I Casi Impossibili di Zoe & Lu, a young-adult series written by Licia Troisi. In November 2023, she released Conforme (Bao Publishing), and shortly after, she delivered a TED Talk discussing the profession of cartooning. Her more recent work includes Buster (Tunuè, 2025), a biographical graphic novel about Buster Keaton written by Andrea Fontana, for which she provided the illustrations. In May 2025, she published the graphic novel Nereidi (Il Castoro), created with the support of the MIC and SIAE as part of the "Per Chi Crea" program. The book was selected for the IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People) Italia Choice 2025 and won the Audience Award at Romics 2026.
