Lucio Ruvidotti
Lucio Ruvidotti is an Italian comic book author and colorist born in Milan in 1986. He studied philosophy and drawing in Milan, where he earned a degree in comic art from the Castello Sforzesco School. He has worked on a variety of projects, including comic books, illustrations, and graphic design work. He is one of the founders of the comic collective CARGO and has participated in several anthologies and exhibitions. His comic book work includes “La ricotta” (2016, Giuda Edizioni), a comic adaptation of the short film of the same name by Pier Paolo Pasolini, and “Miles. Assolo a fumetti” (2018, Edizioni BD), a graphic novel about the life of jazz musician Miles Davis. He has also created comic-reportage works, including “Lamiere. Storie da uno slum di Nairobi” (2019, Feltrinelli Comics), which documents life in a slum in Nairobi, Kenya. As a colorist, Lucio has worked on a wide range of projects, including comic books, children’s books, and illustrations. He has also conducted workshops on color and comic art. Lucio’s work has been exhibited in Italy and abroad, and he has won several awards for his work, including the Gold Medal in the Comic Book category of Annual 2020 for a sequence taken from “Miles. Assolo a fumetti.”
