Ornella Savarese
Ornella Savarese (known to everyone as “Ella”) was born in Naples in 1995. She followed a scientific and business education, earning a degree in Business Economics with a thesis on crowdfunding and self-publishing—effectively merging her academic background with her parallel artistic career. Between 2014 and 2018, she wrote, illustrated, and self-published her own series, Gimkhana, showcasing it in the "Self-Area" of major comic conventions. This journey culminated in an omnibus edition, marking her transition from indie publishing to the professional market. In the following years, fueled by substantial amounts of coffee, she has worked as an artist on various titles for AfterShock, BOOM! Studios, Éditions Soleil, Éditions Oxymore, and Disney/Dark Horse. She also contributes to the Disney/Ravensburger trading card game, Lorcana.
