Valeria Orlando
Valeria Orlando (born 1989) is an Italian comic artist and freelance digital illustrator from Palermo. She graduated from the Scuola del Fumetto di Palermo, where she studied between 2008 and 2011, specializing in BD jeunesse comics and illustration. Since then, she has collaborated with numerous international publishers and companies, including Soleil Productions, Marvel, Hachette Livre, Auzou, 404 Editions, Penguin Random House, Dark Horse Comics, Nickelodeon, Mattel, Splash, and DeAgostini. Her notable works include Paris Saint-Germain Academy Dream (vols. 3–4), Paris Saint-Germain Girls Power (vols. 1–2), and Brawlers (vols. 1–2) for Soleil; chibi card illustrations for Marvel Snap, featuring characters such as Hulk, Star-Lord, Viper, Ghost, and Jax; Vasco, Cheval de Cœur (vols. 1–5) for Hachette; Les Influenceuses (vols. 3–4) for Auzou; covers for Crazy Labubu and Roblox for 404 Editions; and Thomas & Friends: Really Useful Stories for Penguin Random House. In 2025, she received recognition at Cassino Fantastica 2025 during the Premio Lorenzo Bartoli ceremony, where she won the award for “Best Italian Artist Abroad” (“Miglior Italiano all’Estero”), a category dedicated to Italian comic creators working with foreign publishers. The award highlighted her collaborations with major international companies and publishers. She is currently working as a comic artist for Brawlers (Soleil) and Les Influenceuses (Auzou), and as an illustrator for Vasco, Cheval de Cœur (Hachette).
