Ario Anindito
Born in Bandung, Indonesia, Ario Anindito is an Indonesian artist best known for his work on Marvel's best-selling Star Wars: The High Republic series as the penciller, inker, and co-creator. He designed Jedi, droids, monsters, space stations, and spaceships featured in "The Art of Star Wars: The High Republic" artbook vol 1 and 2 for Lucas Film and Publishing. He made history as the first Indonesian artist to be invited as a speaker on the Star Wars panel at New York Comic Con 2022. He has been working in the international comic industry for over 12 years, creating interior pages and covers for popular titles such as Avengers, Spider-Man, Godzilla, X-Men, Star Wars, Batgirl, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Something is Killing the Children, among others, for major international publishers. Aside from creating comics, he is also working with XM Studios, creating high-end collectible statues of well-known DC Comics and Marvel Comics characters such as Batman, Wonder Woman, the Joker, Harley Quinn, Beta Ray Bill, and more. In the game industry, Ario has created illustrations for Marvel SNAP, DC Comics' HRO, and Star Wars "The Force Unlimited" cards. He also worked as a Concept Artist and Art Director in the movie and advertising industries. His TVC for Djarum's LA Lights won the Citra Pariwara Gold Award in 2011. He is now still active, creating covers and interior pages for Marvel Comics, as well as art directing and concepting statues and illustrations for various local and multinational clients.
