Fernando N. Baldó
Fernando N. Baldó, born in Buenos Aires in 1975, is an Argentine illustrator and comic artist based in Viedma, Río Negro. Since 1997, he has specialized in illustration, comics, and storyboarding for advertising, film, and publishing. He has worked with leading Argentine publishers including Santillana, Quipu, Letra Impresa, and V&R Editoras, as well as major international comic book and book publishers: United States: Dark Horse Comics, Valiant Entertainment, and Heavy Metal France: Éditions Soleil and Dupuis Spain: Glénat and Grafito Editorial United Kingdom: Penguin Readers From 2009 to 2015, he published the daily comic strip Los Canillitas for the newspaper Tiempo Argentino. Throughout his career, he has earned multiple accolades, including a Haxtur Award (2009) for Un buen hombre, the International Graphic Novel Award "Dibujando entre culturas" (2011) for Los autómatas del desierto, and top honors at both the "Luis Molina" and Creacómic competitions.
