Francesco D'Ippolito
Francesco D'Ippolito lives and works in Genoa, where he trained as an artist under the mentorship of G.B. Carpi. In 2002, he published his first story for Disney, Qui Quo Qua e l’oro metropolitano, which marked the beginning of a prolific collaboration. His portfolio includes work on PK, Paperinik, and Monster Allergy, as well as serving as a cover artist for Topolino and the monthly magazine Manuale delle Giovani Marmotte. He has also collaborated with Sergio Bonelli Editore as an illustrator for the Dragonero Adventures (Young) series. Among his most successful works are the series Doubleduck, Ducktopia, and K - Diario del Klondike, alongside his contributions to Disney/Marvel crossover projects. Currently, he collaborates with the Abu Dhabi-based publisher Sandstorm as an illustrator, cover artist, and character designer. For the past five years, he has taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Genoa and the Scuola Internazionale di Comics in Genoa. In 2023, he was honored with the U’Giancu Prize as the Best Humor Artist of the Year.
